Jesus...Who, What, When, Why & How

JESUS...WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY, and HOW

“But when the fullness of time has come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, so that we might receive the adoption of sons.” ‭‭● Gal ‭4‬:‭4‬-‭5

■ WHO: The sovereign God of the universe, motivated by love, initiated an atonement to demonstrate his grace:

“That he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭10‬ ‭

■ WHAT: God sent His Son as a human infant to provide a pathway for his creation that was separated from him by sin to reunite with him through a spiritual rebirth and renewal: Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” ‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬ ‭

■ WHEN: “In the fullness of time,”

God sent his son at just the time according to his plans for humanity.

•Apostle Paul explained that God’s plans are chosen “before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬ ‭

■ WHERE: Many years before his birth, the Messiah was prophesied to be born in Bethlehem: Micah 5:2

■ WHY: Jesus came to represent God and reconcile sinful humanity to Him:

•“I and the Father are one" John 10:30

•I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬ ‭

•” We have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭

■ HOW: God communicated his miraculous conception of Messiah Jesus:

The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph: “Thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” •Emmanuel is interpreted as, “God with us.” ‭‭Matt ‭1‬:‭20‬-‭23‬ ‭

The birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus provided a clear path for Believers that: hath quickened us together with Christ, by grace, ye are saved.” ‭‭Eph ‭2‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭
